We are planning on migrating the jira data from server to cloud can you suggest which method was suitable for us.sharing our environment details please suggest the method for migrating data and attachments.
Here are our environment details:
Jira server Version: 8.20.6
Database name: PostgreSQL
Database Type: postgres72
Database Driver: PostgreSQL JDBC Driver 42.2.23
No. of Projects to be migrated: ~40 to 150
Authentication method or user directory - okta
License - 2000 users

if you have not already done so I highly recommend you start with the documentation – prepare-to-migrate-your-atlassian-server-products . Atlassian is constantly keeping the documentation up-to-date as more and more companies migrate. There are a lot of variables to consider so trying to capture them all here would be a challenge and, to be honest, I'm not sure I would trust the input over what Atlassian documents. With that said obviously it is helpful if those that have made the migration add their experiences. There are a number of posts in the community about members that have migrated, you might search for them. I believe that there are also Community articles on the matter as well.
