At work we use Jira Software Cloud and Bitbucket, for both services we use the same accounts, our mail is managed by Google so we use Google authentication on both services and always add users by using our domain emails. So the user on Jira has the same email as the user that commits and push to Bitbucket.
I have also checked that users are allowed to comment and log time in the project. Also have checked that my local git config is using right email for commits.
Bitbucket account is linked in Jira Settings - DVCS Accounts, and Smart Commits is checked for all repositories, also Default Account Settings has checked "Automatically sync all repositories" and "Enable Smart Commits for all repositories".
When I push a commit with a Smart Commit command the commit is listed in the issue but the command is not run, no comment is added neither is time logged (I have tried with comment and time commands).
