Don't get me wrong, I like Atlas and the projects/goals approach. And I've linked this Epic with Atlas, both to a project and a goal, and that info displays as expected in the Jira sidebar and in Atlas.
With that said, why is there a huge chunk of real estate taken up in the middle of my Jira page by this "Link Goals" section? I can hide it, but the title is still there. And I can't see that it actually does anything. There's a giant clip art, a blurb about how awesome Atlas is (I know, that's why I'm using it) and a button to go to Atlassian Home (which I already have pinned in my browser anyway).
Is there any way to completely disable this section? I don't see anything in the 'Configure' screen. Or is it supposed to show some info about the linked Atlas project/goal and I need to enable it somewhere?
Here's a screenshot of the expanded version to make sure we're on the same page:
Hi @Chris Flora - According to this article you can manage the goals section in Jira from the Settings. Is this what you were referring to?
Control Goals visibility on your Jira Software project
All linked goals to a Jira Software project can be easily viewed from the left navigation by clicking on the goals tab. This navigation item can be hidden by the project admins by switching off the Goals feature in Project Settings > Features.
@Carlos Garcia Navarro - It looks like turning off that setting will completely disable the ability to link Atlas Goals to Jira projects.
What I'm looking for is either a way to turn off the "Link Goals" section in the Issue Detail window, or to get that section to display something other than the generic clip art that it currently shows:
It's just a huge waste of space if that section isn't supposed to show something else. I was expecting it to show information about the linked goals once they were linked. If that's the case, then I need to figure out why it's not showing. Otherwise I'd like to disable the section completely & reclaim that space.
Thanks!
