I am trying to create a numbered list inside a table cell (not multiple rows). No matter what prompt I use it only create a paragraph.

Expected:

  1. foo
  2. bar
  3. test

Actual:

  1. foo
    2. bar
    3. test

Tried Prompts:

  • "Add test scenarios in tabular format with column names - Title, Steps, Expected Result. Note -  Steps should be written in numbered list."
  • "For steps do not use <br> tag to create new line but instead use a proper Markdown list format. "

Hi @pb254 and welcome to Communtiy!

It sounds like you are using Atlassian Intelligence Writing Assistant to create your Jira work item description, is that correct?

Do you have a list of your test scenarios outside of Jira? If so, have you tried just copying & pasting them into your table? What about your scenarios requires more help from the Writing Assistant?

Have you tried using Rovo chat to get your table looking good, and then creating a Jira work item with the table in the desription?
