Why is Due Date not included by default to the default screen in JIRA Software Projects?

I know how Due Date can be added to screens in JIRA but I'm curious as to why it is not included automatically when creating Software projects from a template. Is scheduling an issue considered not Agile?

Hey Robert!

So, I just tried creating a new Software project in my instance, and Due Date was definitely included on the default issue screen.  I know that the Due Date field can go missing if you don't have the 'Schedule Issues' permission for the project.

But other than that, I'm at a loss.  sad
