Your issue DB-77 has been created but is not currently visible because it does not match your board

Deleted user September 2, 2024

Hello All, I am trying to create an issue here in the board and it is not visible to me in the backlog section. I see that it is going under LIST.

Please help me with that. I need epics to be seen directly under Timeline but it is going to LIST.

Hi @[deleted]

The message means, that the filter used by the board doesn't include the created issue.

Check the filter used by the board.

Basically I had two boards. One is DB and other is FEB.

DB was the Main Board for the project. I had a filter project = "Development Board" and assignee in membersOf("Front End")

I made a new board which matches this filter. So whenever any issues are created on the main board and it is assigned to someone from front end team it displays the issues on Front end Board.

Now, why is it stopping me from creating issues on main board? That did not have any filter for itself.

So the filter is used on both boards, is your new issue assigned to a member of the groups "Front End"?

If not, it will not show on the boards.

The List option is an option from Jira and shows all issues in the project by default.

I am facing this issue only when I am creating an epic and not while I create other issues. When I create story I see it on backlog and when I create epic it disappears.

Hi @[deleted]

Epics are not shown on the backlog in a scrum project, but in the Epic panel.

Hi Ganesh,

Typically this is because the issue is created and lands in the first status of the workflow. That is often the Backlog status. And that status is often not shown on the board, but is in the backlog section of the board. All the message is telling you is that the issue was created and is now in a status that is not shown directly on the board (and is probably in the backlog section of the board).
