bulk transition issues based on JQL query

Piotr Nowak March 16, 2021

Hello,
We got the task of creating a mechanism that will search for tasks based on JQL Query, and then changed the status of these tasks to another in workflow. In addition, it's best if this script could run the project administrator.

We have come up with a way that there was a kind of checkbox in tasks and after selecting it and changing the status, the task would start a script that would find all tasks in this project with the same status and ex. fixVersion field and then changed the status of these tasks.

We want to do it with ScriptRunner.

I do not know how to do it from the script side and I do not even know if my thinking is correct. Did anyone do a similar solution?

Hi @Piotr Nowak

You probably can try use Escalation Services to do the job based on the desired JQL query. Please give a try and let me know if its helping.
