how to add github.io page as a domain in jira cloud

I'm trying to add a domain into my Atlassian Jira.

I want to use free hosting and hence trying to add my https://xxxx.github.io account. But atlassian is saying invalid domain.

Is it possible to add github.io domain to atlassian. I have a static website.
