mobile app - no "Jira Mobile REST API Plugin"

I've installed Jira 8.2 and I'm trying to access it from the mobile app, which says the necessary plugins are not enabled.

I found:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-enable-or-disable-access-to-the-jira-server-mobile-app-954244795.html

which says I must enable "Jira Mobile" (it was already), and "Jira Mobile REST API Plugin", which does not exist.

Has something changed for 8.2? Or do I need to do something else to enable this?

Ah so "Mobile Plugin for Jira" is not the same as "Jira Mobile"? The former is available on the marketplace but is not compatible with 8.2 yet it appears.

Hey @Hamish Moffatt !

Thanks for flagging this. The beta Mobile Plugin for Jira has been updated with support for Jira 8.2.

You can find the correct plugin here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1220151/mobile-plugin-for-jira?hosting=server&tab=overview

Let me know if you have any issues and I would be happy to help out!

Cheers,

James

Now Jira Server 8.3 has released, it seems we'll need another update for that plugin. Currently, it can only support up to 8.2.4 in version 0.2.5.

Hey @Xin Liu ,

The new plugin is bundled with Jira 8.3. This means that it does not require you to install the plugin separately from the marketplace.

Please let me know if there are any issues!

James

Im running in Jira Server 8.3 and i got the same error where I can't access it on my mobile application. It says "Something went wrong". Jira Mobile is installed already but I cant find the Jira Mobile REST API Plugin under Managed Apps or Find new apps. Any fix on this issue? Is this a bug on the application for Jira Server 8.3?

I am running Jira 8.3.4 and am not able to find Jira Mobile REST Api Pplugin in the System list. Jira mobile is present. Thus I am not able to connect the mobiel app.

I found the solution to my problem. Tha name of the add-on is Mobile Plugin For Jira. The add-ons are ordered alphabeticaly so look further down in the list to find it and enable it. See this https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/Mobile-app-in-Jira-8-3-quot-We-re-missing-something-quot/qaq-p/1170074
