multiple projects in release/board?

We periodically "release" Done issues from the Request Kanban board, in order to help keep the board clean.

The board is set to display certain issues from Project 1 and Project 2 . However, when we access the Release info, we only see the issues relating to the project we're currently in.

Example: I released 96 Done issues under version " Release 2016-05-01".

If I access that Release when in the project 1, I see only the 38 issues from project 1.

If I access the same Release when in the project 2, I see only the 58 issues from project 2.

Is there a (easy) way to show the Released issues from BOTH projects in the same view?

Thanks!

I have the same question/needs as @Robert Anthony, is there a JIRA addon/gadget for this feature?
