Did you mean:

quick search is not working

Zacharias J. Beckman April 19, 2012

I'm using the on-demand JIRA installation. I'm trying to follow instructions for using the quick search (toolbar search), as documented on: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Using+Quick+Search (and also in a tutorial video).

  1. According to the video, I should be able to type '/' to put the cursor in the quick search field. While all other keyboard shortcuts work just fine, this does not work.
  2. According to the documentation, I should be able to use "smart queries," such as "r:me" to find tickets reported by me. This does not work. Instead, JIRA seems to be running a system-wide word search for the phrase "r:me" (and finding nothing).

Hi Zacharias,

This functionality should be working in OnDemand (it works on my own instance). Please raise a support request quoting this Answers question and we can look into it for you.

Hi Zacharias,

That doc is actually for the download/stand alone version of Jira. Try this:

Cheers,

Gary
