same sprint is appearing in two different projects

Hi Team,

we have two projects in our jira one is CIA and another CMC

it is observed that there is 'CMC sprint 3' , that exists in common between the projects and if we try to change the name of the sprint in one project in another project the same name will be appearing, 

all we just wanted to know, why is it happening and what are the possible solutions for it ?

please check your board filters. CMC > Board Settings > General > Filter Query. I suspect that yo have the CIA project included in the CMC board filter.

Besides checking the board filters, make sure your users are assigning issues to a sprint via the board, not from the detailed issue view. We ran into the same issue where users updated the sprint field on the issue itself, and because they selected a sprint belonging to a different board, it showed up on both boards.
