Hello,
I am trying to upgrade my Jira but i am stuck on the Reapply custom modifications to the following file Step by Editing the new file, rather than copying the old file, as the default configuration may have changed between versions. What is the best way to complete this step ? I tried copying the old code in the cold web.xml to the new web.xml but that does not work and my jira site will not load. It just says the configurations have not been migrated over in the web.xml
jira-application.properties
WEB-INF/web.xml

If the version difference is not major, just copying the file should work, copy the file and let me know if it doesn't work.
Sometimes you will have force copy it or copy the file as user.
Or see to it the property list values are only changed in the XML file and not anything else.
Thanks,
Pramodh
Thank you for the reply. I compared the old to the new Server.xml file and i added the redirects to 8443. I did the same to the web.xml file by comparing the old web.xml file to the new one and added the old code we had to the new Web.xml but when i start Jira i don't see the jira windows service start and when i click on the start Jira windows batch file and i see that jira is ready. The page never loads to 8443. I cant figure why i cant make it redirect. I am going from Jira 8.6 - 8.17.
