Hi all,
now we've installed JIRA 6.1. In the previous version when a user inserted an image in a comment automaticcally it appeared as a thumbnail. Now in this version the image attached appear as a 'large' image and you've to insert |thumbnail if you want the previous result.
There is the possibility to automatically insert all images in comment as thumbnails?
Thank you!
Simona

Opt out of the new UI, then they'll default to |thumbnail again

we have this problem since upgrading from JIRA 7.0.x to 7.1.2
we discovered that if you put "* " before the inline thumbnail, i.e. make the thumbnail image a bullet point, then it works.

Hopefully this helps someone -
I figured out that @Paul Mansfield is correct about the need for the bulleted list but I found it difficult to achieve when in "Visual Mode"
Switch over to "Text Mode" and you'll be able to do something like this:
* !IMG_20190521_154326.jpg|thumbnail!
* !IMG_20190521_154329.jpg|thumbnail!

It's so ugly to have huge screenshots in the comments section. Enterprise software should not require users to do such hackery to get basic functionality correct.
