I'm setting up a project for a support workflow as a means of triaging before assigning it to one of several software development projects. What I'd like to do is to take an issue that has already been assigned a status inside the workflow on the Support Project and place it in the backlog of the software development project. Jira seems to want to force me to move the issue into one of the statuses of the sprint of the software development.
Has anyone done this? Is there a setting that allows this? I can't seem to find documentation that can help me with this.
