Figma JIRA plugin permissions issue?

After the latest Figma plugin in JIRA, I noticed in the design field that as an administrator, I see the link to "Get Live Design Updates" whereas regular JIRA users see "Request Figma Connection" instead.

 

I've created the JIRA connection to my Figma UX team under my account. Does each user need to create their own connection?

I am having a similar issue, I am constantly asked to sign in to Figma. I am 'successful' but then I am just asked to sign in again. I never can actually see the design in the JIRA card
