How to use transitions validators with "Tracking & Estimation for Jira Cloud" plugin

Hi
I'm trying to set up the plugin to separate estimating and spending of time developers from QA-engineers. 
My problem is that without the plugin I could validate that the "Time spent" field is providing during the transition. But now it's useless, even if I fill "Time spent" fields during the transition, it won't go to the plugins Work Log. 
How I can solve this problem: force team members to fill the Work Log during the status transition and continue to use this plugin?
