Currently there is an issue with the Field Type drop down where it displays all issue types(Story, Defect,Task..etc) multiple times. So in you case if they are displayed multiple times then you need to go through the entire list so get the correct type selected.
Ex: You might have Story type listed thrice but only one of them is mapped to the TESTS and only the correct one will show up results you need to cycle through all options to figure out the right one.
Hope this helps to get your results on the screen

If you have created a Requirement (Story or any Jira requirement) with a particular project and version --> mapped to Test cycle & Test case --> executed this testcase and linked any Defects to these executions. Then when you select the same fix version (release) or any other criteria under Traceability --> you must be able to get the report then select the checkbox for the required rows and run the requirement or defect report.
