Groovy Post function : Obtaining handle for Epic when adding issue

Hi,

I am Working on a groovy script that runs as a post function and copies a custom field from the Epic to an issue added under it on creation of the issue. But I am unable to get hold of Epic from the groovy script (I tried getParentId() and looked in API document of greenhopper plugin with no success). Can anyone help me with any pointers on this please ?

Did you managed to find a solution for this? .We are trying to do something similar and were wandering if you had any success.
