When I try to create an issue from MS Teams, I get an error message "Could not find project with key AE". I do not have rights to access to the project with key AE, and I want to create an issue in a project with key ITSVD that I have rights to access. I thought it would find the projects that I had the rights to access and select it from there. However, When I comment on an issue from MS Teams, I am able to select the issue and then comment on it.
Could you please tell me how to solve this problem?
Hi,
We are also experiencing this problem.
I'm prety convinced that I've figured out the issue as: current user doesn't have access to the first project in the Jira project list that the Teams app fetches.
I don't think you can access the request, but I mentioned your post in it.
So, as a reference, this is the support request: https://getsupport.atlassian.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/47/SPSP-17484
I'll try to remember to keep you posted on the status of this request.
PS: If I'm right, a workaround could be to create a dummy project with name and key "AAA" and give all Jira users access to that project.
Bug (+workaround) got registered: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-21245

I think you may have answered your own question - you're getting an error that MS-Teams cannot find project AE because you do not have access to that project.
I think you need to tell MS-Teams that you want to use a different project. I'd expect that to be in the configuration of the ms-teams app you're using in Jira.
