Universal Importer for Confluence

hi there,

is it true that the Universal Importer for Confluence only imports Word (or OpenOffice) documents? I ask this because the Convert Files To Confluence option under the ellipsis in the top right hand corner of a page screen uses this importer. It does not for example import the content from a PDF or spreadsheet.

Hi Steve,

From the description on Marketplace it does appear it converts mainly Word Doc files and HTML:

Import files like .docx and .html as Pages

My recommendation would be to install it as a trial and see what capability it has. I haven't personally used it myself so I'm not able to answer on that, but I do know that it uses Pandoc which might make things such as PDF conversion possible at the least.

If you find it does not have the functionality you require, you can cancel your subscription during your trial.
