I currently have a rapid board (A) which includes stories from three projects.

As we are seperating the projects into two scrum teams, I want to create another rapid board (B) with two of the three projects, and remove these projects from the initial rapid board (A).

However work has been completed in previous sprints for the two projects I wish to remove from rapid board (A).

Q: Will this cause any problems?

Q: As the projects are no longer included in the rapid board (A) will the completed work be listed in the reports for:

1. rapid board A (as it was completed when included in that board),

2. rapid board (B) as the issues are now included in this board

3. or not at all?

I'm hoping the answer to my first question is No, and presuming that the answer to my second is 2, but just wanted to check before I broke anything!!

Thank you in advance,

Melody

Hi Melody,

By removing project/s from a rapid board, I believed that you will do this by editing the filter set for the rapid board.

It won't cause any problem for you to change the rapid board filter.

As for reports or recorded works, it will be moved to the other rapid board. However, the other rapid board will have the same sprint.

For example, you have Sprint 1 for rapid board A that shares the same issues from the projects(those issues have value Sprint 1 in their sprint field). As you separate this projects using a different board e.g. rapid board B. Rapid board B will have Sprint 1 started or completed as well.

This is due to GreenHopper will scan issues sprint field value and create it. So, both boards will have identical sprint information but differs in number of issues.

I hope this clears your doubts. :)

Cheers,

Fahd
