Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 19:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×I have a login to the documentation site and have been able to add/reply to documentation comments for OnDemand. However, why cannot I add comments to Bonfire documentation? I see that comments are there, but there is no ability for me to?
I wanted to get clarification on their browser compatibility information as it seems that there are significant issues across all browsers, making it difficult to use for customers, such as us, that development, test, and certify in multiple browsers. Because of the issues, I'm having a difficult time justifying carrying our license into 2013 due to the issues we've been experiencing and would like confirmation on what it is supposed to support and the roadmap to resolving issues.
We used to have comments enabled on Bonfire documentation, but when analysing the types of comments we were getting, we found that most were simply questions about the product.
Since the growth of answers.atlassian.com we felt it was better to have all public Q&A about Bonfire in a single place rather than fragmented questions in multiple locations. We have therefore switched off comments on the Bonfire documentation in favour of asking questions here on Atlassian Answers.
Thanks for the clarification. Surprised that the process/policy is different across the products regarding this. Is Atlassian responsible for keeping current on Answers activity and providing feedback?

Ok - It just can also be convenient to add comments to doc as that is often where clarification is needed or why folks have questions about functionality, if the doc isn't clear. Appreciate the quick response.

Different product teams within Atlassian can sometimes have different processes based on a number of factors, including team size. Products like JIRA and Confluence, with large amounts of version-separated documentation, have different needs from smaller add-on teams that update documentation in-place.
A lot of Atlassian staff monitor Answers, and the Bonfire team gets emailed whenever a Bonfire-tagged question is asked.
