What permissions are needed to use Issue Checklist add-on?

We're using the Issue Checklist add-on, which is silent in terms of permissions needed to edit checklist items. It works fine for me as a site administrator, but not for a users part of a group. Any hints?

Issue Checklist uses the same permissions as Jira issue.
