We have a Jira Integration set up that will create alerts in Opsgenie based on specific conditions on a work item. These alerts should display the associated Jira work item on the alert. However, when expanding the section, no Jira work items shows.
It looks like the page is making a bad request to Atlassian, and we are getting the following error toast. As far as I can tell, I am unable to update the API that this integration is using, as it is all configured in Opsgenie.
I have tried to delete and recreate the integration, but I am still seeing the error on newly created integrations.
Is there anything I can do to resume showing the link to the Jira work item on the Opsgenie alert?
Hello Ariella,
Thank you for reaching out to Opsgenie community. I am Nayan, happy to help.
I checked your requirement, I'm afraid the synchronization of opsgenie alerts and Jira tickets is automatically is not possible. We've been tracking a similar request below:
Looking at the feature requests, it is in Gathering interest status, which means we're still looking for more votes and use case from our users before being reviewed by our team. I would suggest you vote for the issue and drop your comment to let the product management team know about your use case. I have linked your support ticket to the feature request ticket above to provide more visibility to our developers.
As a workaround for feature request OPSGENIE-147 , you would need manually link Jira issue to Opsgenie alerts.
If you like, you can also leave the feedback yourself here: OPSGENIE-147
Hope this is helpful and do let me know if you have queries will be happy to help.
Regards,
Nayan

@Nayan Pandey Thank you for the link to that request; however, this was a previously working feature. These integrations were already in place, and they previously linked to the Jira issue that created the alert, and we were not getting that error.
The error message suggests that the API to retrieve the corresponding Jira issue is now deprecated and needs to be updated. As we are using the built-in Jira in Opsgenie integration, this is something that I believe Atlassian needs to update.

Hello Ariella,
Thank you for your response.
You are correct. I've had a chance to test this behavior on my lab instance, and I can confirm that links are indeed being added to Opsgenie alerts, just as you described.
To help us understand and resolve this for you, would you mind creating a support ticket with us on https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/? It would be helpful if you could also include a HAR file collected while you're replicating the issue. This will give us the insights we need to investigate thoroughly.
Regards,
Nayan
