Hello,
We are using Opsgenie and Opsgenie App as alerting system, however some users are complaining about having several notifications for every comment or update in the alerts when using the Opsgenie app. Mainly because some of them need to stay alert overnight, but not attending every notification for comments/updates.
Is there a way to silence the subsequent notifications for every update or comment for an alert?
Hope you can help.
Thanks in advance.
Hello @Gabriel Valladolid ,
Yes, they're getting these notifications because of the Add note notification rule configured for their individual profiles, which is sending out the notification every time someone is adding a note to an existing alert.
To disable these notifications, they can navigate to Settings > Notifications > Notification rule > Add note and then delete this notification rule by clicking on the Delete (trash) icon as below:
Please refer to the below document link on how to manage notification preferences in Opsgenie:
https://support.atlassian.com/opsgenie/docs/create-and-manage-notification-preferences/
I hope this helps resolve your concern, please check and let us know. Happy to help! :)
Best,
Shashwat
