Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 19:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×we have acquired numerous accounts as a result of claiming them after the domain claims. A lot of those accounts do not have access to any products or just have Trello access. I have deactivated accounts of past employees and current employees that do not currently need Atlassian access. Some of those accounts will be migrated into the example.site .atlassian.net but some will not. What is the best approach to clean these accounts up?
Hi Baris,
The best practice to manage you user account lifecycle is to setup SCIM synchronization with your Identity provider. This automatically de-activates within Atlassian the accounts you deactivate within your identity provider.
We do not recommend deactivating accounts of your active employees even if they do not have access to the site you manage. They might have access to Atlassian sites or products not managed by you which may be critical to get their work done. A user uses the same account to access all Atlassian products.
Thanks,
