JIRA/Confluence Cloud API Token Availability

I see here https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/api-tokens-938839638.html that API tokens will be available for user accounts and can be generated at id.atlassian.com. This is great!

When I navigate to id.atlassian.com to generate one, I see a "BETA" designation and a message stating that API tokens are not yet available.

Is there a planned date of availability, a way to join the beta program, or a blog that might provide updates?
