👋 Hey Trello enthusiasts!
We’ve been beta testing a new Trello to enhance your personal productivity experience and soon, it will be generally available (GA) from May 21, 2025 onwards – if you’ve been participating in our beta program, we thank you for your valuable feedback!
Here are some updates we believe are important for you to note in preparation for this rollout:
🗓️ GA timeline of new features
Starting from May 21st through the end of July, we're gradually releasing the new Trello features to everyone.*
*Please note: if you’re on the Enterprise plan, these changes will take effect after July later this year for your account.
✅ Can't wait? Try out all the features now while you still have beta access!
As we prepare to make new features generally available, that means we’ll be winding down the open beta program. If you haven’t tried the new features in beta yet, we encourage you to navigate to your Trello account and click the “Beta” dropdown in the top right corner.
As we gradually roll out these updates to more users in the next few months, here are some of the latest features that we can’t wait for you to try:
📥 Trello Inbox: say goodbye to lost to‑dos and scattered ideas! Use the new “Quick capture” functionality to forward your notes, emails, and saved messages from Slack or Microsoft Teams to a new Trello Inbox, which will hold them as cards until you have time to assign them onto your individual boards. Atlassian Intelligence (AI) can also assist in summarizing the content you have captured.
🗓️ Trello Planner: No matter where you are—at your desk or on the move—you can easily schedule "Focus time" to concentrate on tackling specific Trello cards and tasks using Trello Planner. This feature allows for seamless integration with your favorite scheduling tools, such as Google Calendar.
🧭 New navigation bar: the new navigation bar gives you an easier way to switch between your Inbox, Planner, and board — or view all three at the same time!
✨ And so much more—take a tour of our latest enhancements or check out our Trello support article for more information about the new features!
⛔️ Access changes to certain features
When the new features in Trello are GA, the following capabilities will be limited to users on the Standard, Premium, and Enterprise plans:
Scheduling within Trello Planner. You can still view the events that already exist on your calendar, but the ability to schedule or edit a “Focus time” will be limited to paid plans.
Atlassian Intelligence (AI) for Quick capture. You can still capture your to-dos via email, Slack, and Microsoft Teams, but an AI summary won’t be available on the Trello card.
We encourage you to check out the Trello Pricing Page to learn more about the full list of Trello features that you can access under all of our plans.
🪄 Some additional UI changes to note for everyone:
Exciting changes are also coming to Trello's card back designs! When you click on a card, you'll discover a refreshed design that features a more compact and streamlined card back. This update reflects our commitment to simplicity, aiming to improve your experience as you organize and manage your tasks more effectively.
🎉 We’re thrilled to bring you these latest updates in Trello soon to help you better tackle your to-dos and manage your personal productivity! Thank you for your ongoing support and enthusiasm.
