I read somewhere that there is no limit to the number of attachments on a board. Somewhere else claims that there is a limit of 36,000 total attachments. What is really the limit? And does the limit change for a premium board?
Currently, my sales team and I are trying out the free version as a project management solution for our printing company. However, with an average of 3-4 attachments per job, that 36,000 would be filled up in about 3 months.
Is that just a limitation we have to work with? Or is there alternative? Is there an added cost to such alternative?
The usage on the current board would say the same for continued usage. At the moment, we only have 3 team members using the one board, but depending on how this works out, we may have up to 8-9 users across 3-4 boards?
Hello, Tabitha
Welcome to the community
As you mentioned, In Trello you can have a maximum of 36000 attachments on any Trello board these are split between open and archived cards.
As this limit includes attachments on archiving card you won't be able to archive them on that board to reduce the number of attachments. The best thing to do to stop you hitting the limit on attachments on this board will be to move cards to another board, there are a couple of ways you could do this:
You can check more information about the limits here at https://trello.com/1/resource/limits
There's no difference between plans, the limit is set because this way we can guarantee a good performance, this is the reason. Create a board to archive older stuff can definitely be a good alternative here.
