This may be more of a chrome thing rather than trello but let me explain what I'd like to see.
We use about 5 trello boards which we all have open in chrome on different tabs. When you're on 1 board and you go to read notifications and then decide you need to open that card it automatically opens the board associated with that card whereby leaving the board you were on. What I'd like to see is that instead of doing that why can't it see if the corresponding board is already open in another tab and if so go to that tab.
Thoughts?
Hi Myron,
The Trello web application does not have that functionality but I can see how useful this must be for your use case. I highly recommend that you look for a Chrome extension that might be able to help you with what you are looking for.
Alternatively, there is a built in feature in Chrome which is a "Switch to tab" option in the url bar when what you are typing matches the title of any open tab you have open. This doesn't solve your query but it could be an option for you. If you type in the board name from a new tab it will launch the "Switch to tab" option and you can select that tab instead.
Hope this helps!
