Question on how to apply rules for specific Boards -automation

We have a workspace with 5 different Boards (each a different client).

Within a board, each partner contributing to the project has a designated 'List' with their name. (Ex: "Kate's List) (Then we have monthly lists to follow)(setup is similar for all boards). 

Our main Board member would like to add automation so that when she comments on a card and tags a specific member, the tagged member (of the board/list/card) will then receive a 'card' added to their list (Ex: 'Kate's List), BUT, we don't want the card showing up on all boards in their designated list across our workspace - only want the rule to apply for that specific board.

Is it possible to set it up this way? Suggestions, help, and advice are appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you for clearly explaining your use case. I'm happy to confirm that what you're looking to achieve is definitely possible with Trello automations.

Here’s how you can set this up:

• Use the member's username in the list name:
  Instead of using the member's display name, please use their Trello username in the list name.
  For example, if Kate's username is katemember123, name the list as katemember123's list.

• Match the list name with the tag in the comment:
  This way, when you tag the member in a comment, the automation can match the username in the comment with the list name.

• Set up the automation on your main board:
  Please make sure to create this automation rule on the main board where you'll be tagging the member in the card.
