Scheduling recurring events in the Calendar / Seeing label colors in calendar

I think it would be very helpful to be able to schedule recurring time blockers in the calendar. For example, I want to plan the day every morning from 8 to 8:30.

Of course, I can schedule this in Google directly, but then I cannot move the event from Trello if I end up doing it 30 minutes later, for example.

It would also be very helpful for me to be able to see the label colors in the calendar view

--> If I add a card with a yellow label, for the coloring in the calendar to be yellow as well.

Are these features planned?

Hi @Sven Göpfrich,

Thank you for reaching out to the Trello Community!

You can use our new Planner feature to schedule your day to day tasks. You need to integrate your calendar with Trello planner and all of your tasks will be synced in.

You can explore the features and see if that helps you with the requirements. Here is a document for your reference: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/trello-planner/

If a card has a yellow label, you will see the same label on the card in the calendar view.

You can see an example from my Trello board having cards with different colors of labels:

Hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for the answer!

In my calendar, I do not see labels — all cards are just purpleCalendar Picture.png

I am also not sure how I schedule recurring events from here? I can only schedule tasks daily (which would mean any types of routines cannot be pre-planned).

Hi @Sven Göpfrich

Is this the calendar view you are viewing or the Trello planner?

The calendar view will show you the cards that have a due date, and the cards should have a label assigned to them.

However, if this is in the Trello planner, we dont have a way to change its color for now.

That is the Planner feature.

Hi @Sven Göpfrich,

We don't have this feature with Trello planner for now.

Do you know if there are any plans to add these features (Scheduling routines in the planner, and having it color-coded)?

I really like the idea behind the planner, but I find that since I still have to do so much out of the Google Calendar anyway, I end up just using Google Calendar entirely and not the Planner feature:

  • Recurring events must be scheduled out of Google
  • Coloring of events must be done out of Google
  • Changing events that were created in Google must be done out of Google since it is View-only access in Trello
  • Changing names of events (even when created in Trello) must be done out of Google

Hi @Sven Göpfrich,

We don't have anything in the pipeline for now.

The purple color is given as a focus time in the planner so you can easily identify such events among others in your Google Calendar.
