Good afternoon, we created the rule below to make it easier for members to sign the activities of a checklist at once. However, we were unable to generate a rule to remove these members' signatures from the checklist item. How should we proceed?
The rule to sign checklist items is:
when an item containing "me" is added to checklist "{checklistname}", for each checklist item in a checklist named "{checklistname}", assign the item to member @{username}
Hi Jean,
I hope you're doing well! I'm Rishabh from the Trello support team—welcome to the community! 😊
Thank you for reaching out to us. As Mike mentioned, currently, Trello does not offer a feature to remove members from checklists via automation.
However, I'd be more than happy to create a public suggestion request on your behalf so our development team is made aware of your need. Before I proceed, could you please share a bit more about your use case for wanting to remove members from a particular checklist? Understanding your workflow will help us advocate for your needs more effectively.
In the meantime, here are a couple of alternatives that might help:
If you want to replace a member on a checklist item:
You can simply use the "Add member" option to assign a new member. This will automatically replace the current member on that checklist item.
If a checklist item is no longer needed:
You can remove the checklist item entirely. Here’s how you can do that.
Please let me know if these options work for you, or if you’d like me to go ahead and submit the feature request. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out—I'm here to help! 🌟
Cheers,

Hi @Jean Carlos
Sadly this is something that was missed by Trello when they added the checklist automation features. It seems logical in automation that anything you can do, you should be able to do the reverse. However, Trello often plays by different rules 😂
This can absolutely be done with a tool outside of Trello. If you are willing to use Make, I'll happily create an automation and share the it with you.
Lemme know if you want to do that?
