Why is it impossible to keep the activity tab open in the new design?

It has been so long since the new design rolled and it's still impossible to keep the Activity tab open, how come no one fixes this simple yet essential feature?

The old design had the Activity part permanent on the right, you need it to keep track of the board, now you can't keep it open, it's counterproductive

While this exact functionality isn’t currently available in new Trello design, you aren’t alone in wanting this as we have had other users interested in this as well. With that in mind, I’ve added you as a “+1” to our existing suggestion, which you can access here: JAC TRELLO-1440.
