Hello

If I have 3 boards and about 20 people working for me...if I switch to Enterprise, will I still have to pay for the users to be in my different boards, or is being in Enterprise is free for them...?

Best regards

Enterprise plan is for large organization with many employees and workspaces. The minimum purchase is USD $10,000. It may not be the right fit for your use-case. Premium plan is best. This page explains how the billing works for Premium plan https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/how-billing-works-with-trello-premium-and-standard/

Ha, I never bothered to think of that, 5O users minimum times 20 bucks times a year. But I've always felt Trello could still do with some in-between tier with just that bit of added user control; but maybe we need to look at managed accounts for that. Not that important, the learning never ends as we improve and move on, but that's the interesting thing of course.

What @Gaurav Kataria says, only I'd add: is Premium even necessary?

We're on it mainly for the observer role, plus views of all sorts for planning and admin.

If combined cost is the issue, Standard could suffice, depending on what boards they need to be on for each collaborator. And, since you have just three boards, and if most people are needed on all three, Free could even be an option. Additionally, if separate paces are of importance, you could cross-collaborate on three single-board spaces where each space only invites whoever is needed there.

"Your use case" is just not concrete enough (and you don't need to divulge that here) to make that call for you; but collaborators are never 'free' for the space owner on a paid plan. Even if Enterprise was just an 'even more features' tier, they would still cost you.

It really depends on your initial setup, your feature needs, and who these people are and what they need access to etc.

I've no idea how everyone uses Trello around the world, but three boards for twenty people seems like a particular situation. But that's the cool thing about it: people can organize it in so many ways it always feels just right for everyone.

I'd suggest to evaluate what Trello setup you actually need, what spaces you need, who needs to do what where and so on. Dive into spaces, permissions, roles etc.
