I need to create an automation, but I'm not quite sure how to do it. When information is updated in an Assets field — for example, the 'EMPLOYEE' attribute in the 'OFFICE' asset — I want to automatically update the OFFICE information in Jira Service Management with the new EMPLOYEE value.

I need this to work for all asset fields and all their attributes, so that whenever a request is created in Jira, the affected asset is updated accordingly in Jira Service Management.

How should I set up this automation? Should I use the 'Edit asset field attributes' option? If so, how exactly should I configure it? Thank you very much.

Hi @Dsert Bot

Welcome to the Atlassian Community

As far as I got your question, you want to update the fields of issues whenever an issue is created in Jira Service Management. But for more clarity, and I can answer your question better, can you share a screenshot or video to better explain your use case  ?

But let me give a basic answer to this, to what extent I got your point.

Let me give a basic response to show how much I’ve understood your point.

I've created an automation to assign the issue whenever it is created to a member from my defined user group using the balanced workload. I hope this automation can solve your issue, if I am able to understand it correctly. Let me know if you want me to give a detailed explanation for this, or, if I am going in the right direction, I can write a detailed explanation for this.
