Is it possible to access sprint details in rule?
I have tried with smart values like {{sprint.name}} {{sprint.Startdate}} to print but it is not printing.
I want to start the sprint if sprint's start date is matched with today's date or passed date.
Let me know is there any approach to do this.
Thank you for always responding and resolving the query.
You won't be able to accomplish this via an automation rule. Automation rules act upon issues not sprints. The start of a sprint is a trigger event that can be used to act upon a set of issues but you can't use an automation rule to act on a sprint.
You should be able to do this from the API:
First you would need to get the sprint you wish to update:
Followed by updating that sprint and specifically changing the state to active:
I hope that helps!

We created a Cloud app that does exactly that.
