Description field is always empty on transfer

We work with Jira Service Management and always copy customer orders to our internal Jira projects, which works without any problems. In the service desk, we want to copy the description field with an automation into a new internal field and the internal description is filled with a template. Filling in the description with our template works, but unfortunately when copying the description from the service desk to the new field, it is always transferred empty
