I would like to be able to create automation with the databases. My goal is that when I add a new row to a database a ticket is created automatically in jira, is that possible?

Actually the automations that appear to me only start when creating a database, the problem is that I already have one and I want to feed that database and not have to create a new one.

Hello @Paola Villalobos

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

You mention Jira, but Databases is a feature of Confluence Cloud.

Can you confirm this is about Databases in Confluence Cloud, and using automation in Confluence Cloud to generate Jira issues from Confluence Cloud databases?

I have the same issue. I have a confluence database and I want to have a Jira Ticket created whenever a new entry is created in this confluence database. We have Confluence and Jira connected.

The current automation in Confluence only allows the trigger "New Database created" which is not helpful in this situation.

This trigger is exactly what one of our business areas needs. They are creating records in their confluence database and wish to create automation off the trigger of a new row/entry to then perform actions in both Confluence and Jira.

I have a similar request but in the opposite direction.

I would like that Jira automation is able to add a row to a Confluence Cloud database whenever the work item reaches a state of Done.
