delete unpublished page jumpes to dashboard

We have serval confluence spaces in place and if a person creates a new page (blank or based on template) and then decides to delecte this unpublished page, that will then lead the user to the Confluence dashboard (....../dashboard.action#recently-worked).

To continue working in the same space, user needs to select the space

We believe, it should be like: user is somewhere in a specific space and on a specific area/page. If, creating new page gets aborted like described above, the users should be back on that page, where he/she has choosen to create a new one.

Anyone has an idea, if this behavior is "works as designed" or is there any possibility to change this behavior?

thanks Roland

Hello there Roland!

Currently, there is no setting that could change this behaviour. With this in mind, I went ahead and created a Suggestion for the Teams to look into:

CONFSERVER-57884 | Stay at the same page after closing edit mode

You could go ahead to vote and watch this suggestion. Voting for it will increase the report visibility and watching will keep you up to date with everything posted there!
