Why do variables all of sudden not work when I create a page from a Template?

Hello,

I've been using Confluence Cloud for about a month now, and I have created custom page templates that use variables.  Before, when I created a page from one of these templates, the first step was to fill in the variable values, and then confluence brought me to the general edit page screen.

Now ( and I have not changed anything in the template ), when I create a page from one of these templates, there is no option to fill in these variable values... i just go straight to the general edit page screen, and my variables are not there.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

If it is please add yourself to "Affected customers" to push for a fix! :)

same issue here with the "new editing experience"... in a second cloud instance with the old editor i have no problems with templates and variables. Any help? Thanks!

I do have exactly the same problem.
My templates are completely broken right now. Please let us know if you are aware of the problem and are working to fix it?
