is this macro available on confluence cloud?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Tasklist Macro

Is this macro available on Confluence 6.0.0-OD-2016.10.0-1050 (Cloud version?).

It doesn't seem to have documentation in 6.0 and is not available as a plugin.

You simply insert it:

+ -> Task list

Or type [ ] (open bracket; close bracket)

Adding individual tasks as you mention will allows you to add a task in edit mode, however, in previous versions you could add a task list and in view mode people could add/update/remove individual tasks. 

The previous behaviour made pages more collaborative and simpler for users rather than requiring each user to edit the page.
