Method to use Google G Suite for user authentication in JIRA Data Center?

Is there a clear and easy method to use Google G Suite for user authentication in JIRA Data Center?

I've searched, but the only thing I see is Atlassian Marketplace plugins to make this work.

Does no one have an answer on this?  All I really seem to need to test if both sides will play nice with the SAML standard is the Attribute Mappings to put into G Suite's SAML configuration, if any, and what to set the Name ID and Name ID Format to?
