Hello, I've a jira service management project and I want to add an automation so when a comment is added in a ticket, that comment will be copy to the linked issues (those issues are in a different project). I created next rule, but when I wrote a comment in the log always say NO ACTIONS PERFORMED. Can anyone please help me? thanks in advance.Captura de pantalla 2025-01-21 a las 16.09.55.png

A bit of a mix of @Marc - Devoteam and @Robert DaSilva with a tweak of your smart values should do the trick:

Hope this helps!

Hi @Sara

Have you set the scope of your automation rule correct.

If you copy comments to linkeed issues in another project, the scope of the automation rule needs to include these projects

Thanks I've added the project, didn't realice that. But now the comment is sent in the trigger issue not in the linked one, how can I change it? Thanks

Hi @Sara ,

I want to make sure I understand your goals here:

  • You want the automation rule to run every time a new comment is added
  • You want that new comment to be added to all linked issues

From your screenshot, it looks like you're pretty close. I think the adjustment that needs to be made is related to the branch rule you have.

I believe you'll want to iterate over the linked issues instead of the comments.

This can be found in the Branch Rule box, and by selecting the FOR EACH, then Linked Issues options.

Give that a try, and let me know if it works as expected.

Cheers,

Robert
