Hi,
I am currently working with a customer that has capacity planning challenges. Thought it's best to ask my fellow experts on the matter, will really appreciate some advice :-)
Bottom line - They need an easy way to see how much capacity (per Jira each project and their total) they have for each sprint, and see how each issue they put into their planned sprint affect the left capacity per project and total
Background data:
They a project per R&D group (a total of 4 R&D projects), and a management board that includes all projects issues
The permission for managing sprint in the the management board, which needs to manually set the planned capacity per project and move issues to the sprint - until all planned capacity is met
Here is an example:
• We have 4 projects : A, B ,C ,D
• and a planned sprint 1
• Capacity per team is as following (they are willing to fill planned capacity per project-sprint manually)
o A-10d
o B-20d
o C-30d
o D-40d
• Each story planned for the sprint has a time estimation
• Now, they start dragging issues to the planned sprint, and want to see the following table, automatically updated according to every issues added or removed, with the ability to inline add / remove a story:
• Here is their desired view:
Sprint 1:
Available capacity Story1 Story2 Story…. Total left
Project A 10 1 5 2 2
Project B 20 15 0 0 5
Project C 30 0 1 23 6
Project D 40 10 3 7 20
