Additional stories over and above sprint commits

Say, the team has committed 10 user stories, 30 story points. 

Their velocity is about 35 but due to complexity and some uncertainty has decided to commit less than this.

To make up the shortfall, they decided to take on 2 more stories adding up to 6 points. 

How should the sprint be setup so that the burndown commit shows as 10 stories / 30 sp and not 12 stories / 36 sp?

If you add the points to the sprint it will show as creep. If you don’t want it there then don’t add to sprint and just do it on the side.
