Attachment Preview URL

Hi,
So I have an external product which requires me to preview the attachments related to an issue on Jira Cloud. I have all the information related to the issue, and attachment. Now i want to know how i can get the preview URL for an attachment? Is it even possible to using a URL to redirect the user to the attachment preview rather than asking them to go to issue page and then click on the attachment that is mentioned?

Welcome to the community

There is no preview URL for the attachment as such. But if the attachment is the Image then you can get the URL. If you open the Image preview and right click on it then select the open in new tab there you can see the URL. 

It will be like this -  blob:https://xxxxxx.atlassian.net/05a7df1e-3ae4-4ba2-b8d1-8d26192a3e02

If you want to do this for single issues attachment then you can keep those attachment somewhere on the web and share the URL to the user.

Hi Sachin,
My usecase is to show preview for every kind of attachment not only images. But thanks for clarifying it being not possible.
