Hi all,
Apologies for what may seem a very trivial question, I have been using Jira Cloud for a while with Automation for Jira (as the 3rd party app). I have created a new URL and added Automation for Jira, however I am unable to find where I can create/adjust rules.
Previously I would find this under ProjectName>Project Settings > Automation. However it is not currently visible.
I am aware that the app is going through a transitional period at the moment, so perhaps this is intentional.
Any advice on how I may be able to find or access the Automation for Jira configurable options would be appreciated.
Hi Daniel,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
Automation for Jira is now being integrated into Jira instead of being a separated add-on. It's was rolled out for some sites and others still didn't receive the updates, so if you use more than one site, it may look different.
As you mentioned, it should show on Project settings > Project automation, but if it doesn't show there, please go to Jira settings > System > Automation rules.
Please, give it a try and let us know how it goes.
Regards,
Angélica
Thank you for the information!
One of the sites that I use is with the new integration, whilst the other is still awaiting. All makes sense now.
Thanks,

Hi Angelica,
Are we still able to turn on the Automation app for JIRA during the transition?
I am unable to find it in the app store and the information page for the app only shows Server and Datacentre hosting options.

Automation for Jira will be added to all Jira Cloud sites in the next few days, that's why it doesn't show on our Marketplace anymore.
It should be added between Wednesday and Thursday (Sydney time).
Regards,
Angélica

I saw that you created a ticket with our support and they found out that the Automation plugin is not installed on your site.
If you have any other questions, please let us know.

@Angélica Luz I though i chime in here due to unresponsiveness on my post earlier. My question is around jira automation rule.
Can you please help me to create a rule for a project, which will do the following: rule need to apply to any given epic -> when epic child issues created -> inherit given epic label. Is this possible? Thank you in advance for help.
