Automation of the sub tasks

Lorenzo Morando July 14, 2022

Hi everyone,
I would need help on an Automation rule.
The problem is that when a sub task is put in the 'Done' status, the main task is also put in the 'Done' status, although there are other sub tasks in another status like 'In progress'. I would like that when there are multiple sub tasks, and maybe only one is put in 'Done', the main task remains 'In progress', since there may be other sub tasks not yet finished. Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance!!

Hi @Lorenzo Morando

Welcome to the community! ðŸ˜ƒ

You can check out the sample automation rule which basically updates the parent status when all sub-tasks have been completed

Hope it helps!

Cheers

Ajay

Thank you Ajay for your reply.
Actually I saw that you can unlink a default Automation rule with this works. The problem arose because I need to change a status of a main task from 'Done' to 'In Progress', since it was put in ?done' incorrectly, I was wondering if there was a possibility to simply correct the status of the task or if it was necessary to correct the Automation. I had already tried to create some Automation rule before to correct it; but at least in the immediate future, nothing has changed. Is it possible that it is a question of 'waiting time for the rule to be applied' or that the rule itself is not working properly?
Thank you very much!
